  • There is a welding mark at the handle inside the jug from Laser welding to make your Handle last longer. This marketing is not a defect and does not rust.

  • We acceptable variations of handle alignment with a tolerance range of 1-2mm in Production by monitor and in to ensure there are the same within the acceptable level of tolerance. This in no way affects the pouring or the pouring technique.

  • In the process, unfortunately, at times of Polishing or Coating, the metal might come into contact with another object that slightly scratches the metal outer and internal surface of the jug.

  • Whilst all care is taken in looking at each jug, there is no guarantee that every stainless steel product will have a surface with no scratches. (See our reference photo).

  • During the electroplating process, the milk pitcher is dipped in a solution by attaching it to a fine wire and submerging it. As a result, very fine wire marks will appear on the inside of the pitcher, which cannot be avoided for authentication purposes.

  • By agreeing to purchase the Color Coating, you accept that scratches on the exterior and coloring wire markings on the inside of the pitcher are not defects, but rather a part of the production process. Anything plated will eventually tarnish with time and wear.

  • We do not offer any warranty for the color coating after being used, as any coating will eventually peel, flake, and lose its non-stick properties over time. Moreover, it is challenging to determine if the jug has been used in the proper conditions or if the problem resulted from its misuse. Nevertheless, at JIBBIJUG, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards in production coating methods and the quality of our stainless steel graded 304.

  • If you have received a product with defects in the coating, such as major dense or scratches (excluding minor scratches), please contact us for a replacement before use.

The main reasons why we cannot provide a perfect finish but can only achieve industry standard levels is due to the material nature of the product and the various processes involved in making a jug, including creating the body, handle, color coating, and logo laser engraving.

  • All JIBBIJUGs are made from 304-grade stainless steel, and we add color coating to make the product look more attractive. Please note that there may be slightly different color tones in certain areas and rare cases of tiny soft spots on the metal. This can depend on the color schemes, methods, finish, and material used for coating, as well as surface chemical treatments.

  • The jugs are made using molds and produced on machines that bend sheet metal, requiring extensive processing from start to finish. They are then transferred to multiple factories for coating and logo laser engraving. Unfortunately, in this process, the metal may come into contact with another object that causes slight scratches. While we take great care in examining each jug, we cannot guarantee that every stainless steel product will have a scratch-free surface.

  • However, we can assure you that your jug is still operational, and scratches will not affect your latte art or milk frothing. With regular use and cleaning, new scratches and fingerprints may appear."

At JIBBIJUG, we offer color coating for only a $10 difference from non-coated jugs, due to the following conditions:

  • The color plating is intended to be applied only to the jug's exterior surface. However, it may also unintentionally appear inside the jug in some cases.

  • Some wire markings, light haze, fine scratches, or spots may be present on the jug's internal surface due to electroplating application. This is common in all jugs with an electroplating application and is not a defect.

  • Please note that the coating quality should not be judged based on the markings inside the jug. This method of coating is for authentication purposes to ensure it is not a counterfeit jug.

  • Wire markings on the inside of the milk jugs are a normal occurrence during the electroplating process. The wire is used to attach the jug to submerge it into the solution. These markings occur naturally and vary from jug to jug. They cannot be avoided and ensure our authenticity. They are not a defect or a sign of poor production. All jugs are inspected by us before shipping to meet our requisite standards.

Blue Matt Color Coating Issues

  • There's noticeable discoloration on the belly part.

    • During the production process, stretching is required on the body to create a "belly shape." This results in an uneven surface where the color appears uneven; this issue only affects the Matt Blue color, and other colors are not affected. (Please see the production processing below photo.)

    • During the color spray, the jug's holder rotates, and Light Blue appears in some areas. This appearance is normal due to the Blue Matt Electric coating and is not a defect.

    • The Matt or Bush Coating shows greasy fingerprints easily, even just after first use, but it is not a color defect. It's easy to remove by cleaning with a Glass spray and wiping with a micro cloth.

Rose Gold Color Coating

  • This color has more copper than gold, which causes the copper at the surface to oxidize normally. You may find a mark, stain, or tarnish on the surface, but this is not a defect or a used jug. Anything plated will eventually tarnish with time and wear.

We recommend buying the 600ml series such as Musketeer, Ironman, and Shogun for a better finish. For the 380ml series, we suggest Kung Fu or Ninja because of their superior material quality. We do not recommend purchasing any of the 420ml series or Ronin for the purpose of achieving a flawless result as these lines tend to have more factory marks due to their thinner material.

WHAT IS ELECTROPLATING?

  • Electroplating is a process that involves the use of an electric current to deposit a thin layer of metal onto the surface of a substrate. To perform electroplating, the plating metal is attached to the anode, which is the positively charged electrode, and the substrate is attached to the cathode, which is the negatively charged electrode, in an electrical circuit. Both are then submerged in a plating bath, which is a special electrolytic solution. During this process, wire marking can occur.

  • After immersing the parts in the plating bath, an electric current is supplied to the anode. This current oxidizes and dissolves the metal atoms of the plating metal into the electrolytic solution. The dissolved metal ions are reduced at the cathode and deposited onto the substrate. Various factors can be adjusted to control the outcome of the process, such as the chemical composition of the bath, temperature, voltage level, duration of current application, and distance between the anode and cathode.

  • Over time, the color of the electroplated metal can wear off due to regular use, although the rate of tarnish can vary greatly depending on the piece.

WHAT IS  TEFLON COATING?

  • Electroplating is a process that involves the use of an electric current to deposit a thin layer of metal onto the surface of a substrate. • Overall, Teflon is a material commonly used as a non-stick coating on cookware. While it can develop scrapes and scratches over time, it can last for years if not misused or exposed to direct steam. However, nonstick jugs do not last forever, and reapplication of Teflon coating may be necessary at some point.

  • At JIBBIJUG MILKPITCHER, we take the highest care in ensuring the quality of our Teflon coatings, but we do not provide exchange, refund, or returns for damages caused by normal or misused usage.

Why doesn't stainless steel rust?

  • Stainless steel remains stainless and does not rust because it is sufficiently reactive to protect itself from further corrosion by forming a passive layer of corrosion product.

  • Please note that if you receive a jug with brownish stains inside, it is not rust but rather residue staining that may occur in certain conditions such as storage environment, temperature changes, heat, moisture or usage. Fortunately, stainless steel is easy to maintain. Simply clean it with a sponge or follow the instructions below.

COLOR / WASH & CARE

How to clean the interior and Exterior of JIBBIJUG

  1. Interior: Clean With Citric Acid

    • To remove milk stains and dirt deposits from the interior of your JIBBIJUG , begin by filling it with hot water. Add one teaspoon of citric acid or double-strength vinegar to the water, and let it soak for several minutes.

    • For persistent stains, create a paste of vinegar and baking soda and use it to scrub the interior of the jug. Rinse thoroughly with hot water.

  2. Exterior:  Water and Acetic Acid (Vinegar)

    • To clean the exterior of your JIBBIJUG, mix a solution of water and vinegar in a spray bottle (using a ratio of 50:20). Spray the solution onto the stainless-steel surface and wipe it clean with a microfiber cloth in the same direction of the grain. This will effectively remove any dust or fingerprint smudges on the jug's surface.

Do WASH & CARE

  • Not dishwasher proof.

  • Hand wash only.

  • Not resistant to chemicals and color retention.

For cleaning and stain removal:

  • Soak the jug in citric acid, vinegar, or baking soda to remove stains. If using Caffeto "Coffee Machine Cleaning Powder," supervise soaking time and limit it to less than 10 minutes to prevent color damage.

  • For greasy fingerprints or dust, use glass cleaner spray and wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Don’ts of Cleaning Stainless Steel

  • Do not use steel wool or brushes as they will scratch the surface of the stainless steel and make it susceptible to rusting and staining.

  • Abrasive cleaners can scratch the surface and dull the finish.

  • Bleach and cleaners with chlorine can stain and damage stainless steel.

  • Do not leave cleaning solution residues or dirty water to dry on the stainless steel as it can create a dull finish and cause permanent stains.

  • Do not place the jug close to heat sources or acidic cleaning products.

TIPS:

  • Do not dry your jugs upside down. In conditions with less air and higher moisture and heat, this can cause residue stains on the corners of the jug. So, it's best to let it dry in the open air.

Why is my stainless steel turning black?

  • Stainless steel is a popular material because it doesn't corrode or break down easily like other metals. However, stainless steel can develop rust spots and damage occurs due to improper maintenance, misuse, harsh chemicals, cleaning in the dishwasher, or using it for hot water or acidic cleaning products, and having scratches on its surface that trap moisture under the metal.

We do not offer any warranty for the color coating after it has been used. Any coating will eventually peel and flake, and its non-stick properties will not last longer. It is also difficult to tell if you have used the jug in the proper condition or not. But we at JIBBIJUG are committed to maintaining the highest standards in production methods and the quality of our stainless steel 304 grade.

ALIGNMENT & FAULTY &QUALITY CONTROL

We are well aware that every customer wants their milk jug purchase to have the perfect alignment between spout and handle and all other parts of the jug. This is an integral part of our design goals and vision. To creating a high-quality product we have developed and implemented proper quality control to ensure best practices throughout the manufacturing process.

Alignment

  • As the jugs are made of stainless steel, they have inherent strength, and each part of the production process establishes ongoing tolerance and variances. We monitor and test them to ensure that they remain within acceptable levels of tolerance.

  • We understand that every customer may have different ideas and methods to check alignment or any other aspects of the milk jug. However, at JIBBIJUG, we use the Paper Metric Scale method to indicate the tolerances in metric units. We believe that the Paper Metric Scale is the most reliable way to check and ensure that the alignment of our jugs remains within acceptable and desired tolerance ranges, rather than judging by visual appearance, which may lead to incorrect assumptions.

  • Since 2018, we have been using a "MOLD POSITION" to ensure accurate alignment of our handles. This means that you can be assured that our alignment is near perfect or within an acceptable tolerance.

  • Upon completion of manufacturing, we will position the jug upside down to ensure that the tip of the spout is positioned at the midpoint of the scale. We will then align the rim of the jug both left and right until it meets the same number on the scale. Finally, we will check the handle placement to ensure that it aligns within the scale measurement.

  • However, there may be slight tolerances due to the natural tenacity of the materials, resulting in small yet acceptable variations between the jugs during the production process with a tolerance range of 1-2mm.

  • We guarantee individual checks before packing, quality control, and strict adherence to our standards for all JIBBIJUG products at the warehouse. This includes every aspect of the final product such as finish, color, and alignment.

Please choose carefully as we do not offer any refunds on purchases made unless the product is damaged during transit. We carefully inspect all jugs before shipping them to you, with a 1-2mm tolerance allowed in the production process and in our color coating conditions.

Handles laser:

  • They are made using a laser beam to weld metals together. We fix one side first and then laser the other side, which allows for some tolerance between the two sides of the handle. Thus, our handles have a 1-2mm tolerance.

  • Our jugs are meticulously crafted with great attention to quality control. While the handles may not be identical from jug to jug due to the assembly technique providing some tolerance between the two sides of the handle, please be assured that this does not affect the pour or pouring technique.

Factory Marks:  (Scratches on the inside of the jug)

  • We take great care to produce each milk pitcher to exacting standards; however, we cannot guarantee the absence of blemishes (material marks inside the milk pitcher) that may result from the internal polishing process or sometimes occur during the molding process.

  • Rest assured, the Jibbi jug is designed to assist with milk pouring and latte art, and minor blemishes resulting from standard polishing do not affect its intended purpose.

  • We understand that you may be concerned that scratches or laser marks could cause contamination. However, we are confident that such marks are purely cosmetic and not toxic.

  • Heat marks may be more visible on the 420ml series due to its material composition. Testing without the marks could result in the handle falling off. The 380ml, 400ml, and 600ml series will exhibit fewer visible marks due to their materials.
