Origin Story
Keramo Station is located in the highlands of Bensa, Sidama, one of Ethiopia's most celebrated coffee-producing regions.
The station works with approximately 381 smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee in the surrounding mountains at elevations reaching over 2,300 meters above sea level.
This remarkable altitude, combined with rich vegetation, cool temperatures, and extended cherry maturation, contributes to the complexity and elegance that have made Keramo coffees internationally recognised.
In 2020, Daye Bensa Coffee earned a Cup of Excellence award with coffee sourced from Keramo, further cementing the station's reputation for exceptional quality.
Â
Process Story
This lot is processed using the Natural method, a traditional Ethiopian approach that highlights fruit sweetness and aromatic intensity.
Only fully ripe red cherries are selected and carefully sorted before being placed on raised African drying beds.
The cherries dry slowly for 15–20 days, depending on weather conditions, allowing sugars and flavour compounds to develop naturally within the fruit.
The high elevation and cool climate slow the drying process, helping preserve clarity while building sweetness and complexity.
No additives or flavourings are used. The vibrant fruit character comes entirely from the coffee variety, terroir, and careful drying process.

About Variety 74158
74158 is one of Ethiopia's most respected coffee selections, originally developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center.
It is known for producing coffees with exceptional floral aromatics, bright fruit character, and elegant sweetness.
When grown at the extreme elevations found around Keramo, the variety develops even greater complexity and clarity in the cup.
