About This Coffee This lot from Alo Main Station showcases the purity and elegance of high-elevation Sidama coffee. The Classic Washed process brings out pristine clarity with floral aromatics, smooth honey-like sweetness, and a soft, creamy lemon custard finish.
Located in Alo village, at elevations ranging from 2,340 to 2,480 MASL, this coffee is made from the heirloom 74158 variety — a cultivar well-known for its disease resistance and exceptional cup quality.
Behind this coffee is Tamiru Tadesse, founder of Alo Coffee. After his 1st Place win at the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, Tamiru has been dedicated to uplifting Bensa's smallholder producers by improving quality control and creating direct market access. His vision ensures that the world experiences the best of what Sidama can offer.
Degassing & Flavour Maturation For best results, allow this coffee to rest 2–4 weeks after roasting. This gives time for CO₂ to degas, allowing its delicate flavours to shine. The lighter the roast, the quicker it stabilises — though flavour continues to mature gradually.
☕ Enjoy within 3 months of roast date — while it’s still fresh and vibrant.
