Processing & Terroir
Las Brujas is a high-altitude plot within Kotowa Estate, naturally processed to enhance fruit clarity and sweetness.
Ripe Geisha cherries are hand-selected and slow-dried, allowing the natural process to amplify florals, tropical fruit tones, and refined sweetness while maintaining a clean structure.
Volcanic soils from Volcán Barú, combined with cool temperatures and high elevation, contribute to the coffee’s vibrant acidity, aromatic lift, and elegant mouthfeel.
About Kotowa Estate & Las Brujas
Kotowa Estate is one of Panama’s most iconic and respected coffee producers, now in its third generation.
The Las Brujas farm — meaning “The Witches” — is named after the rolling fog that blankets the land during the rainy season, creating a mystical microclimate ideal for growing exceptional Geisha.
Out of the farm’s 80 hectares, over 60 hectares are preserved as untouched native forest, supporting biodiversity and enhancing terroir expression.
Kotowa has consistently placed in Best of Panama competitions and was awarded Best Producer Panama Cup in 2016.
Beyond quality, Kotowa is widely recognised for its environmental leadership and social impact — receiving Panama’s National Award for Environmentally Clean Industry and earning UNICEF recognition for its long-standing support of workers and their families.
In the Cup
Orange blossom and jasmine-like florals open the cup.
Apricot, strawberry, and red apple follow, layered with panela sweetness and a gentle tropical lift.
The acidity is bright yet polished, finishing clean, juicy, and elegant.
Why We Love It
This is classic Boquete Geisha with natural-process charm.
Floral, fruit-driven, and expressive — yet still clean and refined.
A coffee that balances heritage, terroir, and elegance, from one of Panama’s most trusted estates.
